Share
There’s just something about birthday cake that never gets old.
It’s nostalgic. It’s fun. It’s iconic.
And honestly, it’s the flavour we get asked about the most.
While our Birthday Cake Pancake Mix makes limited appearances throughout the year, I wanted a way to bring those same vibes into everyday life — without waiting for a limited drop. Enter these Birthday Cake Protein Muffins.
They’re fluffy, lightly sweet, full of sprinkles, and made with our HelloAmino Muffin Mix, so you’re getting protein without sacrificing that classic homemade taste.
These are perfect for busy mornings, afternoon cravings or when you just want a little joy with your coffee
No food rules. No overthinking. Just really good muffins.
Ingredients
1 pouch HelloAmino Muffin Mix
1/2 cup Plain Greek yogurt (swap for banana, pumpkin, or applesauce as directed on the pouch)
1 teaspoon cake batter or butter vanilla extract
Extra vanilla extract (to taste)
2 tbsp Birthday cake sprinkles
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F.
Prepare the HelloAmino Muffin Mix as directed on the pouch, using plain Greek yogurt instead of banana, pumpkin, or applesauce. Stir in the cake batter extract, an extra splash of vanilla, and sprinkles.
Divide the batter into muffin cups. Bake for 11–14 minutes, until just set.
Let cool and enjoy as is or top with our protein icing.Â

A Little Note on Flavour
These muffins aren’t overly sweet and that’s intentional.
They taste like something you’d bake at home with your grandma, not something artificial or manufactured. The sprinkles add fun, the extract adds nostalgia, and the protein makes them actually satisfying.
If birthday cake is your love language, this one’s for you.
And if you’re in the mood for something a little more fun and shareable, you’ll want to try the Birthday Cake Protein Cake Pops next — they’re the elevated, party-ready version of this recipe and just as easy to make.
